You may think at first that short essays are easier than long ones, when in fact the opposite is true. If you are only allowed to write a certain number of words, you may find yourself restricted and bounded. The problem is, you need to express something meaningful after all. Why is writing short papers important?

Limit the quotes in your essay
As you can see in many essay samples, quoting is very important in any paper. But with short essays you should keep literal quotes to a minimum. It is better to quote a book and give a general idea of what the author says than actually filling half a page with a long paragraph from the book itself.
