You can be either an English professional or a college student, knowing how to write a critical essay will be a big advantage throughout your academic and professional careers. The word “critical” can have either a positive or a negative meaning. You can either appose or agree with the reading. A critical essay helps you to develop critical skills like careful reading, analyzing, referencing, scholarly writing, researching and much more. Learning these things will help you to interact and communicate in a more profound way.
A critical essay begins with a systematic way of reading. Each of the analysis should contain the following points:

Steps:
1. To make a proper start with your research, learn the topic thoroughly and properly.
2. Collect a lot of information on researches related to the topic from various sources like the net, magazines, newspapers, articles, etc. collect as much information as possible.
3. Read through the information and divide the information into two categories- important points and irrelevant points.
4. Make sure that you read the important content completely and critically. Highlight all the points or articles that you find interesting. Summarize those highlighted contents, jot down the important points.
5. Add explanatory note for each source after you’ve read it. Note down the source’s main arguments.
6. Write a thesis by referring to your notes and researches. You can either right it down roughly or form a critical question that you will answer through your paper.
7. Write down a rough outline of the introduction and the content so that you can edit the paper later for correction. One can also make use of many tips that is generally given on how to write an essay introduction.
8. Identify the important parts in the body of the essay and these parts should contain the main argument of your essay. You can refer to your notes foe the details to your paper.
9. Write a rough sketch or outline on the relationship between the different parts of the essay and using the outline write the essay conclusion based on it.
10. Take time to revise the paper. Complete the paper by checking if there is any plagiarism. Make sure the introduction is interesting so that you can grasp the reader with your writing. Write a proper statement and use sources that are supported with proper facts.
Once you learn on how to write a critical essay it will help you to be able to write on more serious or sensitive topics and yet to the point. One main point to be kept in mind is- do not write a critical essay in the last minute. You may go wrong with your grammar or your writing may not be logical and your essay structure may not have a flow.
