A cancer research paper is an essay which every medical student is required to write at least once during his or her education. The paper you present must make people think over and try to understand about the fatal disease; cancer. Writing this type of essay is very demanding and also very difficult. It will be frustrating to even select a good topic for your essay. But don’t lose your interest in the paper because interest is what that is most important. Extensive research is very important in writing this type of paper. There are various types of cancers as all of you will know, but be sure that you are writing the right type of essay for the topic which you have chosen or your professor has given for you.
Giving a good exposition or an introduction for your cancer research paper is the beginning to a great research paper. In your introduction, write about the type of cancer you have chosen to research upon like breast cancer, blood cancer, stomach cancer etc. Research extensively on the topic which you are going to deal with, then start writing the paper. After writing about the cancer, you can list all the possible ways in which it can be cured like chemotherapy, radiation therapy, gene therapy etc. Then write how people suffer because of this particular type of cancer.
After giving the introduction, start writing about the medical reforms in the particular field. Give positive examples about people who were cured (celebrities make this even better). Never give a negative example if you are not basing it as a critical essay or an argumentative essay. List out the various organizations which help the persons affected by this deadly disease. Do commend on their job when you are doing this. It will also be a good idea to mention the medicines prescribed for the particular type of cancer. Remember not to prescribe it to anyone. Owing to the large amount of research work being done in this field, there will be a mine full of information, but sit down with all the available information, reading through them, sorting them out and finally sieving out the only important and required ones.
For a non medical student, it is not a good idea to introduce so many medical terms in your cancer research paper. Further it is also a good idea to write explanations for hard terms by citing their origin along with it, learning how to cite a paper will help you a lot. Be a medical student or a non medical student it is necessary to give the prevention and precautionary steps for cancer. It is necessary that you give the symptoms of the specific cancer at its various stages. Among the various types of cancer choose the type which you are interested in and if possible which you have seen a dear one suffer from. Make your research paper easily understandable to the reader, for this it is necessary for you to understand the reader’s knowledge about the topic.
