A View from the Bridge is a play by American playwright Arthur Miller, which was staged for the first time on September 29, 1955, on Broadway. The two-act version of the play that today is more frequently represented appeared a year after that. It is a great play with many reminiscences of the Greek tragedy, and it is one of teachers’ favourite topic when it comes to write literature essays.
An A View from the Bridge essay then, is not supposed to be shockingly original but solid, well-based on personal readings and logically sustained. Here are a few tips on how to success if this is what you were asked to write. It is a wonderful play, although we understand you don’t have time to read its 70 pages (or more, depending on the edition) and you may require someone else to write the essay for you…
In case you decide to go for it, here are some tips (and how about renting one of its versions as a movie? It has been adapted many times, also in television).

A persuasive essay is sustained through writing techniques
Even though every essay tries to catch the reader’s attention, that is especially true when it comes to this specific kind of essay. Persuasive essays apply a series of techniques for persuading the readers to adopt the same point of view or opinion as the author. When you are writing this kind of essay, basically you must use logic and reason to demonstrate that one idea (your own) is more valid than another. By using a series of procedures and writing techniques, you try to persuade the reader to adopt the same point of view you are expressing or even taking an action based on the reading. The purpose is almost the same as advertising, even when in the last one, the action is always the same: buy, buy, keep buying and buy more!

Literary essays are quite complex to prepare
Many students confuse this task with writing a literary review, and they are not exactly the same. In fact, writing a literary essay is a bit more complicated, since in a review one is supposed to discuss the overall effect and literary quality of a certain work, but in an essay one must pay more attention to specific details. Literary essays explore the meaning, the themes and the construction of a work of literature (a poem, a short story or a novel).
When writing an essay on literature, you should focus on such elements as style, tone, structure, theme or character. Besides, you should choose a topic within a certain work, and not write an essay about the work itself as a topic, since a very wide topic will result in a very shallow analysis. Literary essays then, are not supposed to be shockingly original but solid, well-based on personal readings and logically sustained. Here are a few tips on how to success if this is what you were asked to write.

Cause and effect essays organize methodically the ideas
In order to write a good cause and effect essay, you must first be sure that you understand what is the difference between cause and effect and what they really are. In simple words, causes are reasons why certain things happen, and effects are the results. And cause and effect essays are concerned with both of them, since cause and effect is a common and useful method of organizing and discussing ideas.
This kind of essay can have two basic purposes: to inform or persuade. The first one just provides basic facts. But, if you choose the second one as your main purpose, you will need to apply certain writing techniques in order to persuade the reader to adopt your same point of view.

How to prepare your first research essay
This assignment is quite common in higher education… and quite a pain in the neck for many students. That is because not everyone knows the basic facts for writing an appropriate research paper. Note that the concept of the research essay is not as simple as it seems: at first, the student believes all they have to do is choose a topic, do some research on it and then, write the essay based on such a research. Bad news: it is not simple at all.
